No doubt you read the banner on your way in.
I know this because marketing surveys suggests the eye is most usually drawn to the right, a correlation to the fact that the majority of inhabitants on our fair planet are right handed.
What doesn’t kill us makes us writers.
A little twist on a well-known adage in the hopes that readers will have an inkling what they are in for. If I’ve planned correctly, the impression will be a writer who values strength, and pours that strength into her characters.
Or not. I can dream, can’t I?
No, I’m not going to get all Bible-thumpy on you, but I do draw strength from Romans 5:3-4
“…suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope.”
The Bard summed things up rather nicely with the line,
Perseverance, dear my Lord, Keeps honour bright.
I love the message, lyrically, musically, visually and beautifully, that Kelly Clarkson brings to the expression, What doesn’t kill us makes us stronger. I especially like that the video starts with only Kelly onscreen, and by the end, she fronts a flashmob. A subtle reminder that no matter how low we are feeling or what we are going through, somewhere, someone gets us.
